Sign directs the Bridgewater Way onto the right hand fork - which leads to some steps #88334. It is far more sensible to keep to the newly tarmacked towpath.
Sustrans route sign on link from NCN 5 to NCN 562 in Runcorn - blink and you'd miss it. Also the direction is for route 562 not 62.

The tiny sticker on the post is the only indication that this is the route of the Runcorn Cycleway from the roundabout on the A533
Proper signs are needed here. Small stickers stuck to round posts are difficult to spot and are unsuitable for anything other than route confirmation signs.
Cycleways fork here but it is difficult to tell which way to go. The large fingerpost for the Bridgewater Way(RCN 82) points between the two routes - the way is down steps to the left. The small low sticker for the Runcorn Loop is very easy … [more]

Misleading Routes Sign. - The Bridgewater Way (RCN 82) turns off Marina Lane here to cross the canal in the direction the pedestrians are taking. The red sign behind the pedestrians implies no access - but this is intended for motors.
Stickers on lamp posts do not make for good route signs. it is very easy to miss the turn off from Windmill Hill Avenue to the Runcorn Loop Cycleway.
Misleading Route Sign: Direction to Norton Priory is OK, but to get to Preston Brook you need to follow the path down to the canal towpath.

Route sign for the Bridgewater Way (RCN 82) is needed at this road junction. The public footpath signs point in the correct directions, but it is not at all obvious that this is this is the way the cycle route goes.
